FROM EMBERS TO EARTH

Rituals of Release, Renewal, and Remembrance

There are moments in life when we are called to let go; to release what was, honor what remains, and find peace in what endures. From Embers to Earth was created for those moments — the tender thresholds between what has been and what is yet to come.

Whether marking a personal transition for yourself, honoring a life, or gathering to say goodbye, each experience is crafted with care, reverence, and presence, allowing warmth to remain long after the fire fades.

Frequently Asked Questions

Planning a ceremony or celebration often begins with a few natural questions — each as unique as the story it surrounds. Here are some of the ones we’re asked most often, shared to bring clarity, calm, and confidence as you begin your journey with Kindred Unions.

What makes Kindred Unions Unique?

Kindred Unions was created to bring intention and presence to life’s most meaningful passages — love, transformation, and return.

What makes us unique is our holistic approach: we honor every kind of ceremony and every kind of story. From weddings and vow renewals to end-of-life rituals and ceremonies of release, each experience is crafted with care, sincerity, and deep respect for the human spirit.

Rather than fitting your story into a standard script, we begin with listening — shaping words, flow, and atmosphere around who you truly are. Whether joyful or tender, celebratory or reflective, each gathering becomes a living expression of connection, memory, and meaning. ๐ŸŒฟ

Do you honor all types of unions and belief systems?

Absolutely. Kindred Unions honors all expressions of love and all belief systems — from traditional to spiritual, secular to interfaith, and everything in between.

Whether your ceremony is rooted in a shared faith, a blend of traditions, or simply the deep connection between two souls, it will be crafted to reflect you — your values, your story, and your truth.

We proudly celebrate LGBTQ+ unions, diverse spiritual paths, and every form of partnership built on authenticity and love. No matter how you define your union, it will be held with care, reverence, and an open heart. ๐ŸŒฟ

Do you travel outside of Alamance County?

Absolutely! While Kindred Unions is based in Graham, North Carolina, we serve couples and families throughout the state and are open to traveling to destination locations for meaningful celebrations and gatherings.

Wherever your story leads, we carry the same gentle focus and intention that guide all of our work. Travel logistics, mileage, or lodging considerations will be discussed during your consultation — we’re always happy to explore what feels right for you and your occasion. ๐ŸŒฟ

What is the average price to expect when hiring a wedding professional?

Prices for wedding professionals can vary widely depending on location, experience, and the type of service being provided. In general, couples can expect to invest anywhere from a few hundred to several thousand dollars depending on what matters most to them.

Officiant services in North Carolina often range between $300–$800, while coordination packages may range from $1,000–$3,000+ depending on the level of involvement and event size.

These figures reflect the average to lower end of current industry pricing. Professionals with extensive experience — or those offering highly personalized services and unique experiences — may charge more to reflect their expertise and the depth of their offerings.

At Kindred Unions, our approach is built on transparency and intention — each offering is designed to meet you where you are, with clear pricing outlined on our service pages. We believe your celebration should feel meaningful and manageable, both emotionally and financially. ๐ŸŒฟ

How far in advance should we book?

The ideal time to book depends on the type of service and the season. For weddings, we recommend reserving your date 6 to 12 months in advance, especially for popular spring and fall weekends. Smaller ceremonies, elopements, or weekday celebrations often require only 2 to 3 months’ notice.

That said, life doesn’t always follow a timeline — if your date is approaching quickly, please reach out. Whenever possible, we’ll find a way to bring your day to life with ease and intention.

๐ŸŒฟ Still have a question or a story to share? ๐ŸŒฟ

We would love to connect and help you explore what feels right for your occasion.

ECHOES OF MOMENTS PASSED

These reviews were given to events done during our first four years under another business name. Kindred Unions is eager to pick up where our previous business left off.

"Elizabeth was wonderful as our wedding Day of Coordinator. Our wedding was very unconventional, with many moving parts, as it was located on a family farm in a rural area.

Elizabeth did a great job talking through the details with me before the wedding, asking the right questions, following up with all the venders, and being available to jump in and help with everything that was needed. She was kind, professional, and grounded through the chaos that comes from a homegrown, do it yourself wedding. She helped my vision and dream for this day come true! I highly recommend her company for your event!"

"...Prior to the event, any coordination questions I had, [Ellie] answered within minutes of me sending her an email. And the day of the event, everything was set up and ready for us like she said it would be.....and this is usually not the case! I’m really looking forward to working with her again."
